Read an interview with Tim Healy recently and he said he wasn’t happy with the way it gets cut to pieces any time the repeats are shown.Surprised that they even bother showing repeats now,seeing how much they have to cut from them.

Used to see christopher fairbanks aka moxy over the island frequently, saw him over west ham few times, sat next to him when ogbonna scored last minute winner v liverpool a few years back, he's a big west ham fan.

I remember no fucker going out til 10 o clock on a Friday during the 1st series as their was no catch up tv and vcr's were yet to be in common use.
Well in the East End anyway.

The building site was in Boreham Wood and the village high street featured quite often.
I think even for the German series, the site was in the UK/Elstree and they just shot the outside/town scenes on location.
Matters not. Never get tired watching it.

Isn’t it one of those shows the woke lot are offended by thes days? Not so much calling the Germans “Eric’s” but more all that calling the Turks “Abdul” and generally being rude and wanting nothing to do with them!
It was a great show particularly the first 2 series.

The original series were brilliant I had a mate who could mimic most of the characters :-) very dated now but great at the time.
